THE IMPACT OF JUST FOR KIDS FOUNDATION’S SUPPORT AT
THE MONTREAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

To date, Just for Kids Foundation has purchased over $13.5 million of high-priority medical equipment for the Montreal Children’s Hospital at both its old location on Atwater, as well as for its new home at the Glen Campus. Through JFK Foundation’s 30-year history, almost every department at the Children’s has been touched by our fundraising and has helped make a difference in the lives of countless children.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
We have purchased a variety of high-priority equipment for the NICU, including:

  • Giraffe Panda Incubators
  • Breast pumps for each room within the unit to feed the most fragile preemies and newborn babies.
  • 44 Kangaroo Care Chairs to facilitate parents and babies with skin to skin care comfortably
  • Echocardiography Machine, capturing images of the heart without radiation

Ear, Nose & Throat Department (ENT)
We have provided updated medical equipment for a variety of ENT departments including the operating rooms and various clinics within the hospital.

JFK Foundation has purchased digital recording systems for both the clinics and operating rooms which are still used today.
These tools enable doctors to better diagnose and treat over 13,000 patients per year.

Cardiology
JFK Foundation has made a significant contribution to the cardiology department to purchase the most technologically advanced equipment to help little hearts beat healthier. Our support has been instrumental in providing this department with the support needed to stay current with the latest technology and continue to deliver the best care for cardiology patients.

Operating Suites
We have equipped the JFK Operating Room Suites at the Children’s with state-of-the-art tools and technology.
JFK Foundation has provided support for several surgical divisions, including ophthalmology, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, urology, and general surgery.
Annually, thousands of young patients undergo urgent, life-saving procedures in the Operating Rooms and Pediatric Day Hospital at the Children’s.
